As quickly as they assembled, groups protesting the burial of late strongman Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani Friday night dispersed promptly and peacefully.

The Black Friday Protest in Luneta ran for six hours under the intermittent rain.

Organizers said that the numbers swelled to 15,000.

The main program, marked by speeches by Martial Law victims and personalities opposing the burial, ended past 8 p.m.

Hundreds of protesters stayed for the "concert," where activists sang "Bayan Ko," and performed spoken word poetry.

Before finally dispersing past 10 p.m., the protesters picked up what trash was left behind in the area.

A markedly smaller group President Rodrigo Duterte supporters also staged a counter-protest across the Black Friday Protest.

They dispersed at around 7:45 p.m.
