Nais nila na mamuhay nang disente sa isang disenteng lipunan. Tignan po natin ang mga isyu na humaharap sa ating ngayon, ang korapsyon ni VP Binay, hindi niya mapaliwanag ang bilyon-bilyong piso na dumaan sa kanyang mga accounts. <br /><br />

At ngayon, ang korapsyon ni Mayor Duterte, hindi niya maipaliwanag at ayaw niyang harapin ang katotohanan sa milyon-milyong piso na dumaan din sa kanyang mga accounts. Why do we still have to talk about honesty when we are talking about leaders? <br /><br />

Di ba dapat, given ito? Di ba dapat, nandiyan na agad ‘yan ‘pag pinag-uusapan natin ang ating mga leaders? Hindi nagtatago. Hindi nag-o-obfuscate. Hindi niloloko ang mga kababayan natin? Di ba dapat automatic na ang isang pinuno ang kanyang honesty at ang kanyang transparency?<br /><br />

Lagi nating itinuturo sa ating mga anak ang pagiging tapat, na hindi magsinungaling, na ang sinungaling ay kapatid ng magnanakaw. Kabahagi ito ng ating core values bilang mga Pilipino. ‘Yan ang values natin. ‘Yan ang dapat na pinapahalagahan natin. <br /><br />

At ito ang totoo, kaduwagan ang ginawa ni Mayor Duterte sa araw na ito. Mayor Duterte, bakit ayaw mong harapin ang katotohanan? Bakit itinatago mo ang katotohanan? <br /><br />

Tignan natin ang agwat mula sa kanyang salita tungo sa kanyang gawa. Nang nagsimula itong kampanya, sa simula ng debate, pumirma si Mayor Duterte ng isang waiver sa kanyang mga bank accounts. Sabi niya, para mapatunayan ang sinseridad ng mga kandidato, hinamon niya lahat ng kandidato na pumirma din ng deklarasyon sa waiver. <br /><br />

Siya at ang kanyang running mate, Senator Alan Cayetano ang nauna nang pumirma doon sa waiver. ‘Yun ang kanilang salita. ‘Yun ang kanilang propaganda. ‘Yun ang kanilang pakitang-tao.<br /><br />

Tignan naman natin ngayon kung ano ang katotohanan sa kanilang gawa. Ngayon, doon sa bangko, wala, sinarhan nila ang proseso para malaman ang katotohanan. Kung ano-anong mga legalidad, mga “legalan” ang ginagamit para hadlangan ang pagtuklas ng katotohanan. <br /><br />

Sabi ng isang tumatakbo, "If the candidates have nothing to hide, they’ll have no problem signing the waiver document. But if they refuse to sign, they not only betrayed their sincerity in fighting corruption, but also puts to serious question how much they have accumulated and the source of their wealth." Alam n’yo po kung sinong nagsabi no'n? <br /><br />

Ang kanyang sariling runningmate, Senator Alan Peter Cayetano. Sariling running mate na niya ang nagsabi no'n. Kaya napakalaki po ng agwat, sa salita, sa pakitang-tao, sa propaganda kumpara doon sa konkretong ginagawa nila. Obviously, Mayor Duterte, you have something to hide. Ano bang itinatago mo? <br /><br />

Naghamon ka noon, dapat hayag, dapat ipakita ang buong katotohanan. Everyone should sign a waiver. Ngayon, kung kailan sinusubukan ang katatagan ng iyong salita, umiiwas ka, umaatras ka, kung ano-anong mga legalan ang ihahain mo. Hindi ba ang “legalan”, ‘yan ang ginagamit ng mga may itinatago? Legalan ang ginawa, ginamit ni Vice President Binay.<br /><br />

Sabi niya, “Kasuhan mo kami.” Eh di ba ‘yan ngayon ang sinasabi mo din? Lahat! Word for word na sinasabi dati ni Vice President Binay, word for word kung paano itinago ang kanyang mga katiwalian at pagnanakaw—ngayon, ikaw mismo ang nagsasabi, word for word, “Kasuhan ninyo kami.”<br /><br />

Dagdag pa doon, legalan: “ano, saan n’yo nakuha ang impormasyon?” Tinupad ni Senator Trillanes lahat ng kondisyon mo, ngayon ikaw ang umaatras. <br /><br />

You can run, Mayor Duterte, but you cannot hide from the truth. You can use all the legal maneuverings to sidestep the issue, pero lalabas at lalabas ang katotohanan. At ang sambayanang Pilipino, hindi gusto ng sinungaling, hindi gusto ang magnanakaw. The people deserve real leadership. <br /><br />

Hindi ‘yung leadership na salita lamang. Hindi ‘yung matapang sa salita lamang. Hindi ‘yung pakitang-tao lamang, pero nasa gawa. Ano ang ginawa mo Mayor Duterte? Zero. Sa kabila ng matatapang mong pananalita, sa anti-corruption, sa transparency, sa anti-graft, ‘pag tinignan natin ang sinabi mo kumpara doon sa ginawa mo, makikita na ang ginawa mo ay zero. <br /><br />

De Lima said Duterte should be considered the “number one suspect” if something happens to her, quoting Duterte’s statements Monday wherein he mentioned the senator as he threatened to have narcopoliticians killed.<br /><br />
“Kung may mangyari sa 'kin, sino ang number one suspect? 'Di ba siya? And I’m making him responsible if something happens to me,” De Lima said.<br /><br />
“If something happens to me, he is the one responsible, directly or indirectly dahil paulit-ulit nila akong dini-demonize,” she added.<br /><br />
De Lima said she considers as a “veiled threat” Duterte’s mention of her in a speech in Malacañang during the mass oath-taking of newly-appointed government officials.<br /><br />
In the said speech, Duterte said: “Magtanong ka ng isang pulis dito kung may sinabi ako na patayin mo ‘yang si De Lima o patayin mo ‘yang si ano. I never ordered. Ang sinabi ko lang… Remember that I declared war. I did not declare any just police punitive action. No, no, far from it.”<br /><br />
“To me, this is doubly disturbing to me. I take it as a veiled threat. Why all of a sudden babanggitin ako tungkol sa patayan?…Is that a subconscious slip, a sort of a Freudian slip?” De Lima said.<br /><br />
“Alam ko naman 'yan, na I’m always on top of his mind. 'Pag sinabi niya yung droga, you can be sure na ako yung isusunod niya. But this is the first time na nagbabanggit siya about patay,” the senator added.<br /><br />
De Lima said she continues to receive threats from her “haters” and “trolls” in her personal phone, the number of which had been exposed in a congressional probe.<br /><br />
De Lima and Dutere have been at odds with each other since De Lima was chairperson of the Commission on Human Rights (CHR), which initiated an investigation into the supposed summary killings in Davao City. Duterte was the city mayor then.<br /><br />
Writ of amparo<br /><br />
De Lima said she is considering filing a petition for writ of amparo before the Supreme Court (SC) next week against Duterte, Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II and Solicitor General Jose Calida, who have made controversial statements against her.<br /><br />
Calida, for one, had dubbed the senator as “Public Enemy No. 1” for her alleged destabilization efforts against the Duterte administration and its war on drugs.<br /><br />
The writ of amparo, De Lima said, will tell the respondents to stop issuing threats against her.<br /><br />
“To tell them to stop issuing statements that can incite people whether their own allies or supporters or other elements to do harm to me,” De Lima said.<br /><br />
“[Calling me a] leading narcopolitician and Public Enemy No. 1 makes me already a fair game for sinister things. Maaring hindi mismo sa grupo nila but sa iba yung mga fanatics, yung mga grupong out to destabilize the government, to embarrass the President,” she added.<br /><br />
In November last year, De Lima filed a petition for writ of habeas data against Duterte. The petition is a remedy "available to any person whose right to privacy in life, liberty, or security is violated."

Senator Leila de Lima on Tuesday denied staying at the house of Loida Nicolas-Lewis, the Filipino-American philanthropist who was tagged in the supposed plot to oust President Rodrigo Duterte. <br /><br />
“I went to the US to receive that award from the foreign policy. Yung accommodation ko was care of the organizers,” De Lima told reporters in an interview. <br /><br />
“Napaka-number one sinungaling talaga ‘yung Secretary of Justice na ‘yan. Dami na niyang kasinungalingan na sinasabi,” she added. <br /><br />
De Lima was referring to Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II, who was earlier quoted as saying that De Lima stayed in Lewis’ home during her visit to the United States last year. <br /><br />
In December 2016, De Lima flew to Washington D.C. to be recognized as one of the leading global thinkers. <br /><br />
Lewis was tagged in the so-called “LeniLeaks,” supposed “leaked emails” from a Yahoo! group that called themselves Global Filipino Diaspora Council.  The group was supposedly composed of supporters of Vice President Leni Robredo. <br /><br />
Lewis, a known supporter of Robredo, denied that there was a conspiracy to unseat the President. <br /><br />
In her statement, she said: "First: No plot to oust Duterte. Resign Duterte Movement is based on President Duterte's own words that he would resign if drugs are still rampant six month(s) after his inauguration."<br /><br />
“Dissent is NOT equivalent to a plot or conspiracy,” Lewis added. <br /><br />
"In a democracy, opinions of varying shades, either praise or criticism, are a staple ingredient of a vibrant democracy," she said. "Since when has criticism become an element of sedition?"<br /><br />
Robredo has also denied any part in the supposed anti-Duterte plot.
