Sen. Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan on Sunday night expressed his support for Vice-President Leni Robredo and warned that forces seeking to return ex-dicatator Ferdinand Marcos' family to power were on the move.
"We are saddened by this latest development. We believe the Vice President should have been treated with greater respect," Pangilinan said in statement.
The senator added that like the vice president, he, too, was against the death penalty, the jailing of minors like adults, the mistreatment of women, and the burial of Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mg Bayani.
"Dagdag pa rito, ang pagkaltas ng P19 billion sa budget ng housing ay direktang makakaapekto sa programa ng pabahay lalo na para sa kapos-palad nating mga kababayan," Pangilinan added.
The senator ended by calling on all supporters of democracy to resist the pro-Marcos forces and "defend Leni."
